Compassionate Care for a Happier, Healthier Life

Vaccinations
At Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital, we adhere to the preventive care and vaccination guidelines recommended by the American Animal Hospital Association. Vaccines are generally very safe and well-tolerated, with benefits that far outweigh any minimal risks.
If your pet has experienced vaccine reactions before, we’re happy to work with you to create a customized vaccination plan that protects your pet’s health while maintaining effective immunity. Our veterinarians also offer vaccine titer testing upon request.
General canine vaccines include:
- Rabies
- Parvovirus – a severe gastrointestinal virus
- Distemper – a highly contagious and often fatal virus causing respiratory and neurological symptoms
- Adenovirus – a disease that impacts the liver
- Leptospirosis – a bacterial infection from the environment that can cause serious kidney and liver damage
Risk-based (conditional) canine vaccines include:
- Kennel cough (caused by Parainfluenza and Bordetella; often required for boarding)
- Canine influenza (vaccines available for both H3N8 and H3N2 strains)
- Lyme disease (a tick-transmitted illness that can lead to serious health issues)
General feline vaccines include:
- Rabies
- Feline herpesvirus (a common cause of upper respiratory infections)
- Calicivirus (another virus responsible for upper respiratory illness)
- Panleukopenia (similar to canine parvovirus, causing diarrhea and weakened immunity)
Risk-based (conditional) feline vaccines include:
- Feline leukemia virus (a virus that weakens the immune system and can lead to cancer and secondary infections)
Wellness Exams
At Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital, we strongly recommend that your pet undergoes a comprehensive physical exam by one of our licensed veterinarians annually. While most pet owners bring their animals in when they’re unwell, regular wellness exams are equally important. These visits allow us to detect small issues early before they develop into serious problems, potentially saving you stress, expense, and heartache later on. During the exam, your veterinarian will carefully evaluate your pet’s overall health, focusing on key areas such as the skin and coat, mouth, gums, teeth, eyes, ears, lymph nodes, abdomen, gait, limbs, musculoskeletal system, heart, and lungs.
Beyond the physical checkup, our veterinarians are also available to discuss any behavioral concerns you may have. Your pet’s well-being is our top priority, and we’re dedicated to helping keep your companion happy and healthy for years to come.
Puppy & Kitten Pediatric Care
At Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital, we adore puppies and kittens and are dedicated to providing exceptional neonatal and pediatric care! Giving your new furry family member the best start in life begins with proper care right from the beginning. We recommend scheduling a full physical exam as soon as you bring your puppy or kitten home to ensure they’re healthy and thriving.
To protect both your family and your new pet, we follow the latest preventive care and vaccination guidelines from the American Animal Hospital Association. Since young animals are particularly vulnerable to infectious diseases, we use the most current vaccine protocols to keep them safe. Puppies and kittens are also highly susceptible to intestinal parasites, so we recommend comprehensive fecal testing and may prescribe deworming treatments as needed.
For sick neonates, our fully equipped hospital offers thorough diagnostics and expert medical or surgical support.
Additionally, we provide tailored advice on nutrition and training, help you puppy- or kitten-proof your home, and offer guidance on introducing your new pet to other animals. Whether this is your first pet or your fiftieth, we’re here to equip you and your little one with everything needed for a long, joyful, and healthy life together!
Senior & Geriatric Care
We understand that pets have evolving needs as they age, and their senior years require special care and attention. With advances in veterinary medicine and better home care, pets are living longer, healthier lives—but aging pets often face new health challenges. At Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital, our goal is to help your pet enjoy their golden years with comfort, vitality, and the highest possible quality of life.
We recommend comprehensive senior care that includes a detailed annual wellness exam along with senior-specific blood work and urinalysis testing. These screenings help us detect early signs of age-related conditions before they become serious. During the exam, our veterinarians will also assess any changes in behavior, mobility issues, heart or lung function, shifting dietary needs, skin conditions, dental health, and evaluate any new lumps or bumps.
With personalized care and proactive monitoring, we’re here to support your senior pet through every stage of aging.
Microchipping
Microchipping is a safe, simple, and minimally invasive way to help ensure your pet can find their way back to you if they ever become lost. About the size of a grain of rice, the microchip is implanted just under the skin—much like receiving a routine vaccination—and is typically well tolerated by pets.
Unlike collars or ID tags, which can fall off or be removed, microchips are permanent and tamper-proof. Most veterinary clinics and animal shelters routinely scan for microchips when a lost pet is found. If your contact information is registered and up to date, you’ll be quickly notified so your pet can be reunited with you as soon as possible.
