What We Offer

In-House and Reference Laboratories

Sometimes, a basic examination isn’t enough to uncover hidden health issues. With our comprehensive laboratory services, Hartsdale can take a closer look at your pet’s overall health. Lab tests help us evaluate your pet’s immune system, detect infections, and identify concerns such as dehydration or anemia.

Thanks to our state-of-the-art facility and experienced team, we are able to perform a wide range of tests, including heartworm screening, blood chemistry panels, fecal exams, and urinalysis.

Digital Radiology & Imaging

When diagnosing your pet, we regularly use X-rays to pinpoint the cause of health issues, rule out possibilities, or narrow down potential concerns. X-rays may also be part of a wellness exam to detect problems early, before they become serious.

X-rays offer valuable insights into your pet’s bones, gastrointestinal system (stomach, intestines, colon), respiratory system (lungs), heart, and genitourinary organs (bladder, prostate). We use radiology alone or alongside other diagnostic methods, with skilled veterinarians carefully interpreting the images.

We’re proud to provide digital radiology, which captures X-rays digitally rather than on traditional film. This advanced technology delivers faster results and exposes your pet to less radiation compared to conventional X-rays.

Telemedicine

Prompt evaluation of imaging and ECGs by board-certified radiologists and cardiologists.

Cardiology

While heart problems are more common in older pets, they can affect animals of any age. Heart disease is often life-threatening, but early detection and proper treatment can significantly extend your pet’s life. In some cases, if caught early enough, certain types of heart disease can even be cured.

Heart disease may lead to congestive heart failure (CHF), a condition where the heart is no longer able to pump blood efficiently. When CHF occurs, fluid often builds up in and around the lungs and sometimes in the abdomen. Causes of CHF include congenital heart defects (heart problems present at birth), valvular heart disease (issues with the heart valves), arrhythmias (irregular heart rhythms), and heartworm disease.

Ultrasonography

At Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital uses advanced ultrasound technology to safely examine your pet’s internal organs, aiding in the diagnosis of abdominal, cardiac, and reproductive conditions.

Echocardiograms

We use echocardiograms to assess your pet’s heart structure and function, helping detect heart conditions, monitor disease progression, and guide effective treatment plans.

Endoscopy

At Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital, endoscopy allows us to examine the GI and respiratory tracts using a flexible camera—helping diagnose issues like foreign bodies, inflammation, or tumors with minimal discomfort and quicker recovery.

Complete Blood Analysis

Our comprehensive blood tests help detect infections, assess organ function, and identify metabolic issues—allowing for early diagnosis and personalized treatment to support your pet’s long-term health.

Cytology

At Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital, cytology involves examining cells from skin masses, ear infections, or fluids under a microscope to diagnose infections, inflammation, or cancer—helping us make fast, informed treatment decisions for your pet.

Urinalysis

Our urinalysis evaluates your pet’s kidney function, urinary health, and metabolic status. By analyzing urine chemically and microscopically, we can detect infections, crystals, and other issues—helping guide accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

In-House Progesterone Testing

At Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital, we offer in-house progesterone testing to accurately track ovulation timing in breeding animals. This quick and reliable test supports successful breeding by helping determine the optimal time for mating or insemination.
